Friday 4th September 2009
That's the date to put in your diaries/take a sickie/skive off now! 3pm - 5pm at Knockhill Circuit in Fife and then back to Andy's in Edinburgh for the party afterwards.
Once more, Advanced MP3 Players are hosting our annual Charity Trackday - this year, in aid of MND Scotland - supporting the sufferers of Motor Neurone Disease.

The Event
For those new to SE who haven't heard of the event, 100% of all the money you give to the day goes to the charity. Track fees are paid by AMP3 and our suppliers - your money is donated directly via a Justgiving charity page. It's quick and simple and it means the charity gets the money as soon as possible.
This year, we are limiting the open spaces to 40. That's officially 10 less than last year and in actual fact more like 17 than actually made it on track. This is to limit crowding, but we've kept the minimum donation at £60. To have a chance of beating the £10,000 raised last year, we'll be relying on people being more generous though - the £60 is very much a minimum donation
In addition to the open pit track action, we are having the after party once more at Andy's place in Edinburgh. This year, thanks to the lower numbers on track, we'll ask for an additional donation of a minimum £15 . If you haven't attended the trackday, you can just pay this £15 donation too. That's for top beer, top quality BBQ food and the entertainment provided by the Shug & Andy show! Slightly different from last years, but with the free food and drink, it's well worth it!
Yes, we'll be having raffles and the Auction once more. If you have anything to donate to the cause - GET IN TOUCH! We've already got a prize from MMC, so any other Lotus suppliers interested, please let me know by the email address below.
IMPORTANT - Contact details and how to sign up:
Email me on shug AT amp3.co.uk with your interest in the trackday and/or party and then go to the Justgiving page to make your donation:
http://www.justgiving.com/amp3_2009
Your place will not be confirmed until I get notification from Justgiving of your donation (the page emails me the minute you make a donation)
Any correspondence with me about the TD (raffle/auction prizes, for example) please use my shug AT amp3.co.uk address! Don't PM me about it and don't just hit the 'email' button on the forum - that goes to a spam filter.
Let's make this the most successful yet - in addition to tracktime, we'll have some pretty special metal on track (Andy will have details of the 430 pax runs soon and we're confirming more stuff daily!)

MND is a terrible neurological condition that leads the sufferer to degenerate very quickly in some cases. It's 100% fatal and the causes are not known. MND Scotland is the only charity in Scotland devoted to caring for the sufferers and their families and performs an incredible job. The charity has been chosen this year as Andy has an aunt who is suffering from the condition currently and MND Scotland have been a lifeline to her at this time.MND Scotland wrote:MND Scotland is the only charity providing direct care and information to people living in Scotland with Motor Neurone Disease, and often we are the only source of support. Our services will cost more than £800,000 this year, meaning we need to raise almost £15,500 every week. We rely almost entirely on voluntary donations and fundraising to deliver our essential services, and the support of Advanced MP3 Players will help us to make a real difference to the lives of people living with MND.
