That is unless you are worried that without the 48s I will be able to keep up at KH

how much tread do you have ed?? if it looks like they'll be dead after the trackday then bite the bullet and replace them first. or try and steal a spare set of rear wheels of someone.

Mine are now dead.
I'm going to try as Simon suggested and get them fitted in the paddock at Knockhill - even if means getting them changed at 3, 3:30 - that way I know that the other ones will be as dead as a dead thing in a funeral parlour.

Have just checked my rears and they are also down to the wear marker!!

Its gunna be expensive!!! Fronts are at 1.6mm.
First of all i need to arrange someone to come and fit them and then i need to work out a way of getting me and 4 new tyres to KH.
If worse comes to worse i might just have to dump the car at KH and try to steal someones pax seat for the road run.......

No probs bud, although I'm not staying around for Sunday
Or alternatively, we might be able to get the 4 A048's to KH if i take a couple?
Is Tom making this one also?

Don't worry Ed, you don't go fast enough on track to loose any tread

I've got the same problem, I'm just going to replace them before the trackday, not the most cost effective, but atleast they will be well run in for the road run over the weekend.

Between you me and andy we can get the tyres to KH and then to wherever. As mac says, you may as well wring the very last out of your old tyres as 4 hrs on a (hopefully) hot dry track will surely do a fair whack of damage to a new set.

On a scale of 1-10 on the P!ssed-off-o-meter I am 10
Been told by the garage that they dont have a replacement oil cooler yet (its going to take a couple of days at least) got to phone back later but its now looking definate it wont be back in time for MT. Told the garage umpteen times that I badly wanted it back by Friday so I am not a happy bunny that they left it so long to tell me
