The Culzean Autoclassica is being held at Culzean Castle, near Turnberry in Ayrshire this coming weekend (23rd & 24th August) and promises to be one of the best auto shows in Scotland this year. All manner of classic cars, sports cars, racing cars, and supercars will be there, along with some proper competition at various locations in Ayrshire and even a soap box derby within the grounds of the castle! The drive down there is a decent trip in itself (although be careful of the average speed cameras on the A77) and there's camping and a hog-roast on the Saturday evening, so it should make for a good weekend if you can spare the time.
East Ayrshire Car Club will have a stand there on both days and are offering a discounted membership of £15 during the weekend, which includes the club magazine that usually costs £5 itself. If you haven't been a part of the track-days organised by Scottish Elises at Kames, the track owned and operated by EACC, you don't know what you're missing - just ask anyone on here who's been. You'll have to be a member to join in the fun, so the discounted rate is well worth taking advantage of if you're there.
More details on the event can be found here: http://www.culzeanautoclassica.com and EACC can be found here: http://www.eastayrshirecc.co.uk
Look forward to seeing you there!
Steve.
