Got my renewal quote from Elephant - £723.45
2001 S2
25, 6 years NCB, no accidents/points, exhaust and induction mods. Think I could get it cheaper? This is about 100 less than last year for me.

I'm just over £600 for my (heavily) modded S2.
Ok, I'm 33 but Mandy is 28.
So perhaps you should give AON a quote.
Cheers

Try getting an online quote from elephant, they sting you on renewals compared with new quotes.

I'm £400 through admiral. Give confused.com a go and see what it comes back with.

It seems nobody wants a pristene sports car in the middle of winter. Dunno what that all about??

Might have to hang onto it till the better weather. Maybe even see you on track at the start of the year. Al get ma coat.

(dont know what this is but i've been dying to use it)

Elphant won't quote me because I already have a policy - will need to make up some fake details and Admiral won't quote me because the car is over their 'maximum value'.

Admiral lie and yes, make up a different name and get a quote from elephant. I've had quotes from Admiral for mine and it's newer.

Yeah it's odd how they quoted me through confused.com at £638.00 and wouldn't quote me directly!

Ended up getting my renewal down to £585 from Elephant - not too bad I suppose. £10 more than Admiral were offering (eventually) but for the hassle of changing I thought I'd just stick with elephant.

that's quite mental - i'm sorry we can't quote you cos you're an existing customer and we don't want you knowing that the renewal quote we gave you is totaly sh!te!

I usually use my neightbours name and address to get a comparison quote from elephant.
When we phoned up to rant about the difference (can't rememeber the sum) on Jackis MINI they upped the mileage to 16k a year and made it business use all for no charge.
So it pays to play them.
