im clean

Post by tigger2 » Sun Feb 18, 2007 4:30 pm

well me and kenny washed the car this afternoon after going in search of a sponge cos the dog ate the last one. you would of thought that the spar would of had a couple of sponges but no had to trek along to haddington and get a couple from the gulf garage. came back and filled up the big bucket and the small bucket and we were off kenny doing one side and me doing the other. after a couple of re-fills of the buckets the car was clean :D. only took about an hour to clean the outside and inside :D

Beemer for me, Jetwash on Friday night, clay bar yesterday, rinse today and managed to wax the bonnet and wings, these normal cars take an age.

I can vouch for his Royal Shinyness's quotes. Chrome Orange is a spanking colour.

Mine in clean inside, but lovely and grimey out.

You missed a bit . . . just at the left end of the rear grill above the diffuser. tsk tsk!

Our wee plastic cars do look so much better when they're shiny, don't they?! 8)

Gareth . . . I can't see your car in that picture . . . there's just a really bright orange glow coming from my monitor! 8)

Washed mine yesterday, but think it's in need of a good old claying, polishing and waxing. Might hang off until we're definitely finished with gritter season though!

But have you driven it anywhere?

Tigger2's looks cleaner...or is that just 'cos it's a sharper photo ;-)

[advice - all sit down now...]

I haven't washed my Elise since before Christmas. It has booked itself into rehab as a result (not before the battery let go, as some on here will already know...kinda early warning sign I imagine).

[Ok to get up again now]

I did clean the tailpipes though, as they had some blebs of rust forming - meant to be stainless too, but I guess the salt was taking its toll.

I have at least washed the Golf several times and apart from its corroding rims, it looks as good as the day it came out the showroom in 2002...perhaps that has only served to intensify the Elise's feelings of neglect, abandonment and general unlovedness. I best go now, I have some bridges to build...
