To remove "engrained" brake dust.

I use wonderwheels to get the alloys on the Audi clean. Only ever need to use soapy water on the lotus. The green stuff pads dont give of as much dust, or at least it doesnt stick as much.
Well it moves... might as well make the most of it....

I would not use claybar with brake dust , its horrible stuff.

WD40 if left to soak for a minute works well. Dont get it on your discs though.

I have also used wonder wheels to good effect. If you have a Costco near you can get 5 litres much cheaper than Halfords.

I use wonder wheels. brings them up a treat.

two big bottles for something like 3 quid from makro.

I make sure I rinse them well though cos it's nasty stuff.

Autoglym alloy wheel cleaner does the trick. It cleaned off three years of brake dust from the alloys on my 306 just before I sold it... Stains the drive though so wash it off well.
