Smelly soft top?

Noticed a funny, stale smell in the car this morning on the way to work (no . . . it wasn't me

). Turns out it's the soft top. I cleaned and waterproofed the soft top at the weekend, so I don't understand this. It's like a damp, stale smell. The kind of smell you get from an umbrella if it's not been dried out properly.

Anyone else experienced this? Could it be anything to do with the Autoglym soft top cleaning/protecting stuff I used at the weekend?

its probably got something to do with the fact you're car's been sodden with cleaning products over the last week and is having a wee dirty protest

give the inside of the hood a good spray of that Fabreze stuff. That'll sort it out

hehehe . . . it probably is a dirty protest from the car!

Might try the Febreze idea . . . think I've got some in the house. Might also try cleaning the outside again.
