I used to keep mine roof off, under the carport. Until the morning I found it full of ginger furballs and massive scratches on the drivers seat.
And no tut, I don't know any ginger birds...

Similar problem with my car as it is in the bikeshed. Our cat walks all over it, which actually adds to its looks with muddy prints, and sleeps on my sheepskin seat cover that I sometimes use in Winter.

ps sheepskin allowable if you have your roof over in sub zeros.

Think that's as good as any TBH. I used washing up liquid and water, but it's probably not that good for it
Just be sure it's lurvely and clean, then a good coating of Fabsil (or the autoglym 'proofer, if you get it as a pack)
Then it only leaks from the window seals

how can you stop it leaking from the window seals?
i'm sure my windows don't go up far enough to make full contact with the seal - or at least that's the impression i get when the water starts coming in!
i've adjusted my windows to make them go as far up as possible but still no joy - oh and now the passengers one won't go back down so i'll have to fix that sometime.

Ninj - you tried opening the doors then winding the windows up?
If that doesn't work, get the duct tape out

Ninja,
1st check the tension on the roof (there's a wee turnbuckle near the edge)
2nd make sure the window is goin all the way up - fully up it projects at the same angle as the wee black bit above the wingmirror
3rd make sure the runners are well lubed up - dry slide or similar and skoosh it down at either end from the weather seal
If all that fails or your windows feel sticky then you could be heading for a fairly serious problem where the window drops and smashed whilst driving (they can unbond themselves)
I've just had my driver's window sorted at MMC - cost me about £50 - not cheap but worth it as I can now visit McD's Drive Thru again

My Elise had 'always' leaked a little from the front top corners. Curiously it was always worse if parked downhill...(to the point where I would only park uphill, much to the annoyance of my work reverse park natzis).
Gradually leaks got worse but last summer I gave it the full AutoGlym renovator treatment and used black silicon sealant along all the roof seals.
In particular the seal (fabric to siderail) at the front top corner is too short, only extending 3-4 inches back, so I siliconed it all the way along.
Result was absolutely no leaks but not sure if it was the waterproofing or the silicon...???
HTH,
Ali
