Re: F1 2011 timing app

I understand that the official F1 website will have more stuff this year to add to the timing screens from last year. Last year I used a combination of the F1 timing screen with the BBC in car transponder screen and BBC in car view. All will fit together on Apple Powerbook screen while main broadcas...

Re: Running a BMW M Car

I have been fortunate enough to have 2 E46 M3s and a Z4MC. All from new so cant help with long term running costs. No problems with any of them and fantastic cars. Like the Elise always felt special getting into them even if only going to the supermarket. As I said elsewhere tried the diesel / Elise...

Re: One car to do all??

I think that BMW M cars are among the best all rounders ( having had 2 E46 M3s and on my second E92). Fantastic performance and practical. Winter tyres make a huge difference and while not turning the car into a snowplough make it useable in all but deepish snow. I currently have the OEM 8x18 all ro...

Grand Tourer

The Elise SC is 12 months old. Bought as a retirement present to my wife and myself for fun driving and holidays it has covered 4,500 miles (Golf Diesel does day to day stuff). Need for trip to mainland for Murrays for year 1 service and some granparenting duties in Hampshire lead me to decide to us...

Re: Piloti Shoes

I also have a pair. High quality leather and very well made. Sizes (at least when I got mine) were US so best to try on before purchase if possible. Great for heel and toe and cars with limited pedal space.

I got mine on line from Grand Prix Legends but I think there are quite a few outlets now.

Re: Height for TV (NLC)

Been married for 39 years and my other half enjoys our systems as much as I do. Will look a better with a new rack I have on order but still fairly large although in quite a big room. HIFi kit has always been a priority !! Climbing in and out of the Elise is more of a challenge for a pair of pension...

Re: Height for TV (NLC)

We have 46" Samsung hanging on the wall. Bottom is about 30" from the ground and is fine. Could be a few inches higher but I wouldn't want it much higher. I must admit that for my taste above fireplace is not a good look. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k283/jbtco/AVsystemApril2010.jpg Now that's...

Here in Shetland you can smell a tinge of sulphur in the air.

Re: F1 (SPOILER ALERT!)

It was good to see that Button's win was largely down to his tyre call. A victory for driver judgement over all those rooms of computers and simulators at McLaren HQ though I bet Button thought he had blown it whwn he went into the kitty litter. Hamilton seemed very rattled, maybe his driving syle i...

Re: HiFi (Again)..

Cyrus CD & amp are very good ( few bells and whistles but great sound). As their systems are modular they can be easily upgraded. Good deals on demo or refurbished kit from some dealers - Holburn HiFi in Aberdeen (now have shop in Glasgow not sure what they call it) and Moorgate in Sheffield who do ...

I am waiting to hear that Simon Cowell has an interest in Rage. Wouldn't surprise me if it was all a big marketing con.
