elise-shop.com annual HID Bulk Buy
Morning chaps :) As we do every year, we have once again secured a nice deal for HID units. Like last year, it seems a good idea to post this at SE as well as there's been quite a big number of requests / orders. Here we go:  HID (Xenon) Bulk Buy by Elise-Shop.com http://www.elise-shop.com/...

Re: Cracked toe-link mounting.
I've seen more then a few being cracked. Although I can understand the crowbar theory, one thing is rather important to check. The bump steer is controlled by adding or removing some washers on these kits. (actually, you should move them the upper side of the rod end to the lower side of the rod end...

Re: More Eagle Pics
Lotus has a track record of being able to really keep things quiet as long as they want it to. If you think of the introduction of the Elise S2, you might remember that it was there without a warning. Even the dealers were surprised at that time. Several Lotus mules have been photographed over time,...

Re: Well.. that's a bit of a downer from such a great weekend :(
I've sent an email to DFDS explaing the situation. I DID ask them if it would be possible to park her at another place and they denied, so I think they should at least do something. As for the insurance.. we'll have to see.. I've got all risks insured (including trackdays and sprints). If I need to ...

Let's see what DFDS is going to say..

Well.. that's a bit of a downer from such a great weekend :(
I just cleaned my car after throwing it in the garage from the fantastic Knockhill speedfair weekend. Found the complete left hand rear end to be filled with stress cracks. I think I know when that happened (in the Newcastle - IJmuiden Ferry) but nowt can do about it. :( I asked the staff to ...

Re: Tire sizes.. road v slicks ?
Slicks won't hide any lack of talent  I was at Spa three weeks ago... five Exiges S2 from the Dutch Supercar series participated in the Elisetrophy. Paul created a special kind of class for them to be tin the LOTRDC race. Paul Quinn was faster then all of them Supercars (all but one iirc). ...

Re: Wee light flashes (CAT?)
ok, you do have the misfire detection kit installed, otherwise, the light simply can't flash :) What I've seen more then once is the coil being on the way out. I've had one engine which really didn't want to stop misfiring, replaced all, didn't work. Ended up taking the coil off, putting a plate of ...
