Yep, another vote for EBC ultimax disc's and Mintex 1144 pads all round - don't think you get them in any other shapes :D

N/A Chrome Orange S2 Exige for sale (SOLD)

Ok, best laid plans and all that..........I just haven't been using my Exige in the past year and so now looking to sell. Don't want to go 'mass-market' unless I really have to and no major rush so I'm hoping someone on here will recognise a good 'un and PM with a sensible offer :thumbsup Spec as fo...

Re: Project - Supercharger

As a matter of interest, are there any differerences between the standarrd N/A 2ZZ engine and those fitted to factory supercharged models? I've been told that the oil and/or water pumps are different (larger) on original fit supercharged engines.

Re: Tyre fitting Place Abzshire

I would highly recommend Tyre Devotion (Norman Crighton) tel 07967 994502 who is mobile and covers anywhere in the ABZ area. His van is fitted out with the best of gear and he takes good care of your alloys when he's fitting/balancing unlike a lot of the big-name tyre places we all know :x

Re: S2 Exige Touring Pack

I wouldn't waste money on trying to retrofit the OE Touring Pack - been there, done that and ended up very disappointed. You can get much better results yourself with just a bit of time and effort and readily available materials. I'm pleased with the results on my S2 Exige and still have a couple of...

Re: S2 Camber shims anyone?

Dohh!! Of course, thanks for that Robin. I was trying to use my axle stands and string to do a quick check but should have got the poles and made a rig from the start  . I guess the axle stand method would work but needs to be set up correctly which I clearly didn't do - will use the method as...

Re: S2 Camber shims anyone?

In a word, CRAP...........my toe settings that is! No wonder the car was feeling nervous, and I'm the same after finding this out - there's toe out front & back! FNS 21/29 FOS 21/25.5 RNS 24/28.5 ROS 22/28 Car 'mid laden' as per manual (2 x 75kgs + 1/2 tank fuel), measurements in mm with string set ...

Re: S2 Camber shims anyone?

Thanks Dan, I didn't think of that possibility. The reason I started checking my geo was to improve a tendancy to tram-line and feel slightly unsettled over undulating B-roads. The manual quotes approx 0.25deg change per mm of shim so your suggestion would give me approx -0.7/0.8deg per side, wouldn...

S2 Camber shims anyone?

I've been checking my geo settings and would like to make some camber changes mainly to balance the settings side/side but also get them closer to the standard spec (presently a bit too much for road use I think - FNS -1.17deg, FOS -0.52deg) . The popular trend seems to be removing shims so has anyo...

Re: Recommended Painters in Aberdeen

Yup, I'd highly recommend Castlepark Autobody out in Ellon (tel 01358 725852) they did a cracking job on my last car (Excel) and I've seen other work they've done and much impressed. Really easy guys to deal with as well :thumbsup

Engine Cover Release Cable

The engine cover release on my Exige is stiffer to operate than I would expect, certainly not nice and smooth. As I'm just getting to know my car a bit better I was wondering if this was a TADTS or a wee job I should look at? Has anyone tried one of these http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?produ...

Re: Oldbie/Newbie

Thanks for the 'Hello's' guys Welcome Dave, there are a lot of imposters on here that come from the slums of Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, but as we all know the creme de la creme come from Aberdeen. You say that you went out for a local run today, who was that with? tut Hi tut, see post from KPB -...

Oldbie/Newbie

Hello to you all (at last!!). I've been watching from the side-lines for about the past 18months thinking about my next move from my Excel which I'd had for nearly 4 years and decided to come up to date with an S2 Exige ('06 N/A). Picked it up last week and have been out for my first real blast toda...
