Re: MOTOGP Catalunya
It's only a matter of time before Lorenzo takes over Rossi's mantle based on that showing. The only difference between the two was experience, had Rossi been in front 2 from finish he would surely have blocked any pass on the inside.

Re: NLC- Peterhead hotel recommendation
It's not very often you see the words Peterhead and recommended in the same sentence unless the word NOT is included in between :P My shout would be to either head south back to Ellon or even better back into Aberdeen. The New Inn in Ellon has rooms and the bar has been recently done up although can...

Re: MMC rant...small, but v.annoying
Got to agree. The only time a part was due from MMC they got the wrong side (o/s rather than n/s light). In fairness they did work hard to get the right part to me but it took around another week or so....and yes Lotus were blamed.

Re: underfloor heating (NLC)
.... For those that have used terms like 'gentle/continuous background heat' (Northernpar and David) does that mean you think radiators are still required over and above the UFH to obtain a decent room temperature in the middle of winter ? No, the main difference is that traditionally radiators are...

Re: underfloor heating (NLC)
I've got normal radiator system in the main house and underfloor in the servants quarters (sorry I mean the in-laws pad) which are joined onto the main house. It's into a concrete floor and if i had the choice I'd plump for it every time. More efficient although not as controllable as radiators but ...

Re: Camera advice (nlc)
I've got the Olympus miu 1035 which is pretty bombproof and can be used underwater. 10.1 megapixel and also takes video. Decent size for the pocket when not in the water and you can buy a neonprene case which has an armband holder which is handy when snorkelling. So far can't complain and was rated ...

Re: Motorbike training/test
how much would you class as a right offer?? as i may be tempted, lol TBH I haven't really done any homework on this as I guess a trade on the next bike was always in the offing. In terms of right offer I'd be looking for around market/book price for the year/condition/extras. Haven't yet enquired a...

Re: Motorbike training/test
Neil, you need a Gixxer :thumbsup I've got a K4 600 gixxer with low miles and MOT 'til Jan and full Suzuki service history sitting in the barn which I could be parted with for the right offer. Also got a Yoshimura race can, double bubble screen, crash bungs, rear hugger plus some gear that I probab...

Re: Anyone fluent in lawyer speak ?
Background I have fallen out with my factor again after receiving a letter telling me my windows need painting and asking for £300. I have looked at my windows and they seem fine. I asked for a little more information and he said it was all in the "deed of conditions" and generally the exterior pai...

Re: RS4 Update
Good to hear a wee update mate :) I'm surprised you've had to visit the dealers at all .. I've done 5k in my RS6 since January and all mine's been in for was a complimentary timing belt change :) On the DRC front, mine is holding up well to abuse. The ride is a bit crashy over pot-holed cobbles but...

Re: RS4 Update
I've been reading up on these for what seems like an eternity now. I noticed the prices taking a battering towards the end of 08 start of 09 but they seem to be holding firm now if not creeping up slightly. I just need to convince my other half to sell her mini and take my current Kraut mobile to a...

Re: RS4 Update
Aberdeen audi are a bunch of arseholes, my RS6 went in to diagnose an oil leak- someone did 25+ miles and 1/4 tank of fuel diagnosing said leak  The DRC is a bag of shyte as well, I binned mine and chucked on a set of H&R coilovers- have heard the rumours about the fix but its not a proper fi...

RS4 Update
Been a while since I posted after the defection so having had the car a couple of months now thought I'd give an update on what life is like with the RS4. So far the car is still living up to expectations with respect to performance. Remarkably agile in the twistys and blistering acceleration in-gea...
