Re: What to replace the Rangerover sport with?

Mike, another vote here for a 330d X drive. I have the Saloon version, but it's a fabulous all rounder, i've decided it's the only car I should ever need, so going to keep it a while. Manually changing gears or using Sport mode transforms the car, it's VERY quick. Only downside which was previously ...

Re: My 1 week Elise

Jeezo, this thread never seems to go away! Sorry to hear you're selling Xav, but congrats on the success you guys have had with the car, with all the work you've done, this will be a fantastic purchase for someone. Yep Iain, as Ross said, this was a good while ago, I thought you knew! Hope your liki...

Re: argh

I got a set of wheels done recently at The Wheel Specialist in Dyce. Could try them? I'm guessing that Murray's will only send it somewhere themselves in any case. (Prepares to be corrected!)

Congrats Gary. Just logged in for the first time in months and realised that I have over 900 posts?? I dread to think of the drivel in said posts! I'm sure I will come back with more in a few years time.
Merry Xmas everyone. :cheers

Re: One for the Skoda Boys!

Just bought our "travel system" last week, since when I have been working night and day to invent a machine that makes it possible to slap an entire industry. Not cheap, eh Graeme! Missus wanted an iCandy pram/pushchair which had to accommodate the Maxi Cosi car seat, then you need the adapters, th...

Re: Ouch.

Not good. Echos what happened to me a year ago, if I'd tried to correct I'd have most likely collided with the car coming the other way. Letting the car do it's own thing didn't work out too well either mind you. Glad you are ok. Cars can be fixed/replaced!

Re: Offshore Work - Help? (NLC)

If he has Electrical/Mechanical experience/qualifications then he has the ideal combo to transfer into ROVs. Must be plenty of companies out there looking. I'd tell him to Google ROV companies and send some CVs out. Oilcareers.com, Subsea 7, iTech, loads of ROV companies in Aberdeen, most likely alw...

Nice work Xav. Good luck with the next event. Like what you've done with the front clam there too. Must be around this time last year that I was arranging to buy this car. :(

Re: Puncture repair

........one fitter said they couldn't repair but a 2nd fitter was happy to. Looks like a difference of opinion out there and only real way of knowing would be to present the tyre at the garage. I had the same experience not so long ago. One garage said not enough tread on the tyre to allow a repair...
