Re: Front Wheel Bearing and Gear Oil

My front S2 135R wheel bearings don't have this bolt through the middle either. I remember once I was getting new tires fitted and spotted the bolts missing - called Murrays to ask what had happened to them - they confirmed they weren't supposed to be there. The deroure list says "Not fitted to oth...

Front Wheel Bearing and Gear Oil

Finally my car is getting close to being back on the road, but not that close, finding time to work on it, hasn't been easy, but it's actually been very enjoyable and I've learned alot, possibly more to learn when I get round to actually starting it for the first time. Right now I'm putting the fron...

Re: Where for a new K series

With help from Stuart and his machines I now have wonderful looking top of the cylinder block, and a spot on stand proud for the cylinder liners, just waiting for one grooved main bearing that was on back order from Lotus, and hopefully I can start putting things together.

Re: TDF

I wonder how many years Froome will stay as a no2? It all depends if Sky want to make him number one, or if he honestly thinks he would be a real contender as number one at a different team, he's a fantastic rider, a great climber who can time trial, but he also benefits from the other sky riders a...

Re: TDF

Fantastic result, and the way that Sky rode through the three weeks was incredible, and great to see that one of my childhood heros, Sean Yates is still alive and kicking, calling the shots from the Sky team car.

Not the best pic of the renovated head due to plastic packing and the flash, but you get the idea, hopefully the before and after pic are obvious 8)

They look like genuine Toyota engined wishbones to me.

Re: Where for a new K series

Next subject to confuse is the sealant for bearing ladder to sump and bearing ladder to block, the rover manual recommends GUG705963GM, is this the best thing to use, or is there a better alternative? Also for the crankshaft oil seal at the flywheel end GAC 8000 is recommended, is this the best thin...

Re: Where for a new K series

That will do fine - you dont need too much force to clamp them, especially if you make sure you're always pushing the piston downwards, towards the crank when you're connecting up the bearing caps. The blue hylomar sealant for the liner bottoms doesnt set solidly either, so isn't mega sensitive to ...
