Re: Locked Out

Recent experience has shown that speaking to Uncle Craig can seriously damage your bank balance ;-)
No doubt, it will end up there though.

You probably need a universal key*. I have one at home if you want to borrow it? Or you'll probably find someone more local has one.

* Universal key AKA a brick.
:damnfunny
Not sure how that'll fit between the door and the window :?

Re: Locked Out

The key isn't linked to the central locking. You can lock the doors with the key, but they're not linked to the pins. Only the central locking mechanism works on them. Typical Lotus logic. I'll try wires and various other "tools" at the weekend, but my plan B is to drill a small hole in the side win...

Locked Out

Any suggestions as to how to to get into an Elise (S2) if both locks fail? When I press the button on the fob, I can hear the central locking motor and the 2 pins (not sure what the correct name is for things that pop up) move a fraction, but not enough to open the doors. The hazard lights flash and...

Re: Craig Moncrieff thank you.

There's not much been said here for a while, but I felt I had to share my latest experience. The Elise has been off the road for several months, in desperate need of a suspension refresh. I just got it back from Craig's today with a clean bill of health. The work required was extensive, but 18 years...

I went to one of the ldc meetings in Falkirk once soon after I got a red s2, but I wasn’t sure about everyone there although some seemed normal.
Don't let the "normal" ones on here put you off. They are few and far between

Re: One for the App Techy Types

Hi Ross
I'm in a similar position with my mum. I'd never even considered using apps to manage and share visits/appointments.
Brilliant idea. I'm sure there must be many others that could benefit from this. I'd be interested to hear in which app you go for.

Re: Another new home for Scottish Elises?

A variety of spinoff groups have already emerged on WhatsApp for SE members, like a Whisky Group , a Bikers Group, Campaganza campers group, Trackdays group, #Bemoretut group formed to organise testimonials and funeral related stuff for our most legendary member, etc etc Why did I not know about th...

Wanted: City Car

I'm on the hunt for a cheap runaround, mainly to take mum shopping (A lotus is not a practical shopping car for an 85 year old). I just thought I'd check here in case anyone has something they're looking to offload, before trawling through the used car dealers. Pretty much anything would be consider...

Re: Aubergine S2 Loganlea Reservoir

(BTW, there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand binary and those that don't.) I was hoping to go up for a few hours on Sunday. It's the last day of the season, so they are giving away free pies to anglers :D The forecast doesn't look great though. I'll check nearer the ...

Very nice [emoji41]
You could buy a pretty decent car just for the cost of those options [emoji15]
