Re: Sharm El-Sheikh

I've flown in there 3 times but always stay in Dahab which is 1 hour north. Much smaller, friendlier, less developed, more dramatic scenery and a better beach. Not much in the way of nightlife however. Sharm is fast becoming another white trash mecca however there is good diving and i'm sure the hot...

Summer Run Recommendations

I thought this might be a useful thread to encourage Loti driving for when the sun shines this summer :drive Fort William to Mallaig (West Coasters) Dalwhinnie to Mallaig (East Coasters get an extra 40 miles of quiet twisties) This is a great, quiet road with stunning scenery and beaches. There were...

Re: Feedback Required

My car immobilised me again recently. The AA got me to MMC on a saturday morning and i was dealt with by Fraser. He said the car would be looked at that day or on Monday and i would get a call. Thursday came and still no word so i called them and got a lame excuse. Turned out i needed a new alarm/im...

The Skye Challenge and Help For Heroes (NLC)

Hello All :) Myself and fellow SE member TommyK will very soon be undertaking a scottish sea kayaking and mountaineering challenge in an effort to raise money for the 'Help For Heroes' charity. For those of you unfamiliar with HFH it was set up to help improve the lives of wounded servicemen and wom...

Ron's Basic Mod Review

Hello peeps, (I hope this is ok in general as it's not that technical) This post is aimed at newbies (or maybe not so newbies) who are thinking about enhancing their Loti with some basic and reasonably inexpensive mods in time for summer SE runs. Most of the mods listed are either cosmetic or noise ...

Re: Anti Rattle Kit ?

The anti rattle door pins supplied by Eliseparts make a massive difference to cabin noise . Take 10 minutes to fit . As Shug says its summer take the hard top off . I found these didn't work much better than standard. The only answer is to wind some black electrical tape round the door pins a...

Re: Larini Sports Exhaust S2 Elise ?

DO IT! And the Club Sport is the one to go for. For your car you would want the club sport oval tips. Or if you want to splash out on a 111s grill and diffuser you can go for the round tips. Both sound great. Nice and sporty but not too loud. I run a larini club sport, hurricane induction kit and an...

Re: Silver 135 and black 111s

No way! Didn't expect to be spotted there :)

That was Tommy and myself. We spent the week up there getting dumped on. Managed to get some climbing done, including an epic ascent of Point Five on Friday. Scary monkeys though
