Re: Gear linkage and light switches
All went to plan, linkage and short shifter went in relatively easily. Biggest job was removing and putting back on the undertray. So I've ordered a full set of fasteners as they were pretty knackered. Went a long run tonight and the gearchange is lovely, it really transforms the drive experience. V...

Re: Gear linkage and light switches
Thanks Shug, that's good to know.
I'm going to have a go this weekend.
I'm thinking some WD-40 for the switches to clean out the dust.

Gear linkage and light switches
The gear change is gradually getting more sloppy so I'm going to fit the eliseparts linkage kit. I was also going to fit the short shifter while I was at it. I've been doing some reading on this and some suggest that doing both can make it feel a bit stiff. Has anyone done both and found the same, o...

Re: Seeking suspension
Hi Campbell thanks for that.
Out the sets of bilsteins Van cleef which would be the better set?
Do both sets use different adapter brackets? Are the Toyota ones longer?

I've been lurking here but haven't posted for ages. I've hardly drove the s1 for the past 3 years maybe 200 miles a year. But my boy is now at an age where he's loving cars and he's been desperate to get out in the red car. His enthusiasm has really rubbed off on me and has got me excited for the ca...

Jaguar s-type
Selling my 2004 Jaguar s-type 3.0 v6. It has been used as a wedding car and is in excellent condition. It really is a great motor, and the v6 does the car justice. It fairly shiftsfor a big car and handles well too. Here the link to pistonheads ad http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-...

As long as you are running vista 64 your dell can take 8gb max. You have 2 ram slots so 2x 4gb 1333mhz ddr3 is what you want

Re: Sell up for a Porsche?
Thanks everybody the Boxster looks like the obvious choice now. If I'm being honest the I'm not keen on the styling of the 996 soft top but it was more wife friendly being a 2+2. Done loads of reading last night and unless its 2002 onwards it really could get expensive to maintain. This thread on Pi...

Sell up for a Porsche?
Cardinal sin? I've had my s1 for over 4 years now, and whilst I still love it I've always had a hankering for getting something Porsche. However I'd be looking at the lower end of the price range, which leaves me thinking would I regret the change when it wouldn't the all singing all dancing model? ...
