Wheelsaround

I've tried contacting them via their website but haven't had any word back. Anyone have a contact number for them?

Re: Big thanks to Murrays in Edin again

Cheers Shug, spoke to Graeme and it was £269 inc VAT which is definitely better and like you say, helps with the service history. :thumbsup

Re: Big thanks to Murrays in Edin again

I've checked a couple of independents and they're saying around £170 for a 36,000 mile service. Murrays are quoting £299+vat! I thought Craig had some new pricing for services these days?

Re: ECU Re-Flash

I'd be up for that for £149 - that's the sort of price I thought it would cost when Lotus originally announced it.

Murray's - up for price-matching that if we get enough buyers?

Blaupunkt iPhone kit - any good?

I'm thinking of getting one of these for the DAB54. It'll allow hands free use and voice control of the iPhone, which are fine but the useful bit for me will be that it allows wireless streaming of tracks and playlists over Bluetooth. Anyone know if they're much use in an Elise and if bluespot is th...

I know, they slapped it right in the middle before which effectively robbed me of 50% visibility! :D

Re: First snow

Good call on the glue, cos it's autoglass who stuck the ridiculously sized mirror back on in the first place when they changed the screen!

Re: First snow

Couldn't get into the Elise this morning, so had to pour the luke warm water I'd carried down for the windscreen into the locks and go back upstairs to fill up my jug again. Managed to get in ok after that, and defrost the screen with some more water and get the wipers to clear the excess. By the ti...

Re: Tyre pressure

The 111R manual says 26F/29R and that's what I've run for just over 3yrs. I hate when the fronts go below that as the steering feels all soggy and the car loses a bit of agility IMO.

Re: Lotus back in F1

No, I think Lotus have been given the 13th slot, but if BMW get bought then the grid will expand to 14.

EDIT: What Shug said. :D

Thumbs up for Seditas in Prestwick

I'd never heard of them before but after visiting and seeing pics of loads of cars they've worked on over the years from Elans to Cosworth's I had a good feeling. They did the alignment on the Elise for £48+VAT which I thought was pretty reasonable. I dropped the car off before work and it was ready...

Re: Rear caliper prob?

Thanks for the advice Robin. Turned out it was the top slide (the bigger one) that was jammed slightly, probably by bits of the rubbet boots at either end which were mashed. I'll order up some more and get them stuck on. The pin that the pads slide along was all corroded and covered in guff so we sc...

Re: Rear caliper prob?

That sounds like a good shout mate, could it affect only one side? The passenger side is fine.
