Re: Coolant loss (even when parked)

Thanks for the reply The car is from 2000. I will start trying to track down any obvious leaks and I haven't noticed any more steam out of the exhaust than usual for this time of year. If it is the head gasket, a friend of mine suggested using K-Seal??? Any experience of this? Thanks and I'll keep p...

Coolant loss (even when parked)

Could somebody give me a hand working out where the coolant is going? I've had my S1 for about 5 years now and the engine has been without problems. The last time I was out however, the engine temp was climbing towards 110 just as I was reaching home. I let it cool down and checked the next day and ...

Rev Counter working intermittently

Does anybody know how to fix an intermittent rev counter? About half the time it displays correctly, other times it reads about 1500 revs below where it used to. The engine is running fine otherwise.

Thanks

Re: Windscreen washer no working

I have an S1 and the washer jets have stopped working. The pump is not working and the wipers don't do the usual wipe after the water sprays. Is this likely to be the pump or the stalk failing on the steering column?

Thanks

Re: Lotus front nose badge change ?

How much of a job is it to change the front badge on an S1 elise? Somebody has tried nicking it and it is now scratched and scraped to bits. :( Luckily they don't seem to have marked the paintwork.

Also try Prestige Car Bodies at Cockenzie 01875 818992. They've just done a great job fixing some damage on my front clamshell.

Re: Crashed Car (pics added)

If you want somebody else to look at repairing it, try MP Supercars for the mechanicals (01875 813976) and Prestige Car Bodies (01875 818992). They are both in the same industrial units at Cockenzie. I've just had a bit of bodywork damage fixed to the front clamshell (might have to stop the wife dri...

Elise and Snow Picture

Saw this in the paper and thought it was funny.

An Elise getting overtaken by a kid on a sledge. The caption says they are looking to trace the driver but it doesn't say if its the 4x4 driver or the Elise driver. :!:

Re: Engine rough at Low Revs

Thanks for the advice. There was about an inch of water sat in one of the plug bores. A bit of kitchen towel to soak up the water and it runs just fine again.
