Re: Project V6 Elise
Hi Campbell, for me i've proved it could be done despite the huge negativity towards it (not here by the way) which has been a big deal for me, a few said it could not be done at all, or gave me an extremely hard time about it, then when it was done they said nothing, i can't say that's been an enjo...

Re: Project V6 Elise
No, far from it, Kev has and always will have my full support and backup on this car, it may have been a test mule but i will always be there for him no matter what this car needs. So far the only glitches we have had are a random alternator failure and more recently a lambda sensor has a faulty hea...

Re: Project V6 Elise
It was my decision to opt for the paddle clutch Ross, because it is going to be tracked, and the turbo/NA combo won't hold up to that i don't think. Hugely frustrating that the alternator decided to die, not a lot i can do about random failures like that, but we're happy that it's first major test o...

Re: Project V6 Elise
We see 325bhp (every 2gr we have done has been dyno'd) from all of them, all within 2 bhp of each other. No headwork, just good manifolds, a free flowing Y pipe merge on the exhaust and a custom intake. Can't answer you as to why nobody else has done this, all we know is we see 50bhp more than Lotus...

Re: Project V6 Elise
Colour match is extremely good, we were worried about that but it's turned out pretty spot on considering it's an edge to edge job.
The front panel that was scratched is also a perfect match.

Re: Project V6 Elise
Thought i'd update this thread as it's been a while, we've had a lot do catch up on recently so final finishing off has been delayed, but here are the finished modified engine cover pics, we think it's turned out pretty well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v624/paddy1970/Woodsport%205/28-09-11005...

Whatever dan, make me out to be the villain, but from day 1 you've sniped at me, don't think it hasn't been noticed.

Re: Project V6 Elise
Dan, what does the wink mean? what's with the constant jibes and sly digs? Please don't give me the innocent routine either, i can see exactly what you're up to, so can others, let's not forget you're the main reason this thread was deleted by me on Seloc. You need to tell me what your problem is or...

Re: Project V6 Elise
Any updates Paul? Nothing new to report Kev, the car is awesome, no problems at all, we are on track for the collection date we discussed. We've had some lovely weather here over the last couple of weeks. Not sure why the Costa del Consett should be different to Durham but it has pissed down here a...

Re: Project V6 Elise
Ok here is the first video we have done, only part throttle runs i'm afraid, we only have 100 yards to play with outside of the unit, the rest is too rough to take an Elise over. I will be taking better video and doing full throttle passes when we take it out onto the road when we are happy that ini...

Re: Project V6 Elise
It may not be an Enzo but it still goes sideways very easily now in the dry, in the wet i haven't got the space (or the nerve) to make a decent video showing what it can do, unless you chaps just want to see lots of wheelspin and very little forward motion! I've never seen a summer as crap as this, ...

Re: Project V6 Elise
LOL, i don't take chances with customers cars even though i'm fully insured, the amount of instant on tap torque this thing has even at low revs demands a bit of respect, and a better driver than me to make the most of it!
So yes, i'm a screaming woofter
