Re: Winter tyres. Discuss.

My old Dunlop winter 4D tyres had lasted 4 winters and needed replacing, going that the weather is all over the place I decided to go for Michelin cross climate tyres at the end of November. We're running a VW Caddy Maxi life (Kid spec) and so far they seam to be performing well. Better than the Dun...

Re: Cycling - NLC

I had read a few reviews about them needing looked after more than other setups. The better for dodgy knees is the bit I'm interested in. Currently have a shim in my left shoe to see if that helps my knee alignment.

Cheers for the info

Re: Cycling - NLC

Is anyone using speedplay pedals ? I've used Spuds since 1992 for mountain biking and road but feel that covering much bigger distances I need a proper road pedal / shoe set up. Any recommendations welcome.

Istoo that bike looks interesting as Sanjoy says it would be good to here how you made it

Re: Cycling - NLC

I think I covered more miles on bike's this year than in the wee car. I'm also looking at getting a bike fit for the road bike. Having just finished a wee three day ride from Inverness via Fort William, Killin and onto Gleneagles (Should have been Falkirk) my left knee / calf was playing up and I wa...

Re: Grangemouth petrochemical plant to close

Neil has hit the nail on the head; it was all the other conditions that he wanted, sorry 'got', that F**k's all the staff forever more. All the union stuff was a smoke screen to get what he wanted. He's a shrewd cookie.

Re: New entry level Caterham

Great idea Campbell. My friend bought a triumph spitfire for his sons 14 birthday which they stripped and completely rebuild. They kept the engine standard but up graded the brakes etc... His idea was that he can only have one passenger rather than four. The new caterham will be a great for someone ...

Re: Big thanks to Murrays in Edin again

Having received my reminder for my road tax, it reminded me that the wee car needs a service. A call to Murrays and in the capable hands of Jim, as Craig was on holiday, the car is booked in. I had a list of things I knew needing addressed on top of the usual service. I did get a shock when Jim call...
