Did you get a decent location Scotty? Last I checked with the council there was no where near me. IIRC you're not too far away. Drop me a PM.

Re: Anyone bought anything sice the road tax system changed?

Thanks folks.

Tut, I'll have to try & smudge the date when signing the V5 over to take advantage of the speeding ticket loophole. I got a ticket on day one of ownership with the Caterham which did eventually get to me, would rather not repeat.

Anyone bought anything sice the road tax system changed?

Looking at something down south, just wandering how this works now that you have to buy individual tax? Assuming I'll have to insure it, print off insurance & take to post office with MOT and V5 which could be an issue over a weekend. Or will I be able to tax online despite it already having current...

Re: Independence SE Poll

One of the biggest jokes is what we would end up with as The Scottish Armed Services. Happy to have any Yes voter explain to me as to how that would work, or even what would be the point of it. Protect us from an invasion by the IOM? tut Hmmm, that might no be so bad, world class motorsport outside...

Coating of Rainex on the inside of the screen & a chamois to give it an occasional dicht keeps it clear enough.

Re: advice: westfield soft top

If you're getting wet, you're not driving fast enough. ;) Lighter showers will just blow over your head if you keep a bit of speed up. Half hood for when it's a bit heavier. Tonneau or a shower cap when parked up overnight if you like. I wouldn't bother ripping out your seats & carpets straight away...

Re: advice: westfield soft top

As Neil says a half hood is a good option, much quicker to put on. I've never used the full hood yet on the 7.

Not aware of any trimmers locally but one of the Jock7s guys had a boot bag knocked up by Montrose Rope & Sail, maybe worth giving them a call to see if they can adjust your existing hood?

Re: Xmas pressie Shug?

I always land on that car when planning my lotto win garage, replica or not I reckon it's way cooler than a Veyron. Would need it painted in proper colours though, http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/11/porsche-962c-prowls-the-streets/ http://www.speedhunters.com/2012/10/porsche-962c-loose-on-the-stree...

Read part of the 500 page white paper today, and I have already decided to say fcuk the rest of you, I am voting for what is going to be the best for my family, and do you know what? I think that I have the right. One thing that has really pissed me off is that from next year new OAP's will go onto...

Re: BMW M135

1M was part of the BMW Motorsport GmbH division which is a bit watered down in recent years from the previous core values, hand built, hard core original remit of the division building race cars to also build road cars like the 1st M3 but the true M models are still designed and built under M GmbH ...
